Joshua M. Carmel is an associate in the Firm’s Insurance Group.  Joshua received his law degree with honors from Emory University School of Law in 2016.  He graduated summa cum laude in 2013 with a B.A. in English and Classics from Gettysburg College.

During his time at Emory, Josh served as Director of the Civil Rights and Liberties Moot Court Competition hosted by the law school, was a participant in the Kaufman Memorial Securities Law Moot Court Competition hosted by Fordham University, and a co-coach for the National Moot Court Competition hosted by the New York City Bar Association.  He received the James C. Pratt Memorial Award for Most Outstanding Member of the Emory Moot Court Society.  Before joining the Firm, Josh served as judicial extern for the Honorable Christopher J. McFadden, Georgia Court of Appeals.  He was also a proud member of the Emory Volunteer Clinic for Veterans.
