Joshua S. Jacobs practices in Riker Danzig's Intellectual Property, Litigation, and Corporate Groups. His litigation practice focuses on defending and prosecuting copyright and trademark infringement litigation actions and commercial litigation matters.  Recently, Josh first-chaired a consumer fraud jury trial on behalf of a large global electronics retailer to a successful defense verdict.  His experience also includes advising clients on intellectual property questions, preparing and reviewing agreements for his clients, counseling clients with regard to privacy and terms of use issues, managing multi-jurisdiction due diligence for various corporate transactions, drafting and evaluating copyright and trademark applications, and guiding clients through regulatory matters. 

Josh serves as the Chair of the Jersey City Zoning Board of Adjustment, is a member of the board for the New Jersey chapter of the Anti-Defamation League, and serves as the alumni adviser to the Cornell chapter of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity. 

Josh received his J.D. from Cornell Law School in 2009, where he was the Senior Articles Editor of the Cornell International Law Journal and received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Sports Law.  He received his undergraduate degree, with honors, from the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University in 2006, where he was the Undergraduate Chair of the University Assembly. 

Prior to joining Riker Danzig, Josh was an associate at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, and is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey.
