Julie B. Zgoda is an associate in the Firm’s Elder Law and Trusts & Estates Planning Groups.  Julie focuses her practice of law on estate planning, trust & estate administration and guardianship proceedings under Article 81 of the Mental Hygiene Law and 17A of the Surrogate’s Court Procedure Act, where she frequently advocates for the rights of her clients. Moreover, Julie has acted as a guardian, guardian ad litem, court evaluator and attorney for alleged incapacitated persons under Part 36 of the Rules of the Chief Judge (22 NYCRR Part 36).

Julie is experienced in preparing estate planning documents to meet a client’s needs, including Last Wills and Testaments, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Proxies, Living Wills, Revocable Trusts, Medicaid Asset Protection Trusts, Supplemental Needs Trusts  and Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts. She also handles trust and estate administration, including petitions for probate, affidavits of heirship, letters of trusteeship and letters of administration. 

Julie received her J.D. degree from Pace University School of Law in May 2014.  She received her B.A., cum laude, from St. John’s University, Peter J. Tobin College of Business in May 2009.  She is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, New Rochelle Bar Association, Westchester County Bar Association and New York State Bar Association. She is also the former treasurer of the New Rochelle Bar Association.
