Patterson has been presented with a Professional Lawyer of the Year Award by the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law. The award was presented at its Annual Awards Luncheon on Friday, September 28th at the New Jersey Law Center.
The New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law is a collaboration among the New Jersey State Bar Association, the state and federal judiciaries, Seton Hall Law School, Rutgers School of Law-Newark and Rutgers School of Law-Camden. The Commission's goal is to enhance the spirit of professionalism and commitment to traditional values among lawyers and judges in New Jersey. Each year the Commission presents the awards to lawyers of exceptional character, competence and commitment to the highest professional standards. Ms. Patterson's award was co-sponsored by the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey, an organization of both plaintiff and defense attorneys from the civil and criminal bars dedicated to promoting the interests of the public at large, the interests of those involved in civil and criminal cases, and the interests of the bench and bar.
Anne M. Patterson, of Mendham, is head of Riker Danzig's products liability practice. Her practice is focused upon products liability litigation, including pharmaceutical, tobacco and chemical litigation, and commercial litigation. She is also a Trustee of the Association of the Federal Bar of the State of New Jersey and the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey. Ms. Patterson earned her law degree from Cornell Law School and her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College.
