Matthew Karmel Moderates US Composting Council Town Hall on DEI
Environmental associate Matthew A. Karmel moderated a US Composting Council (“USCC”) Town Hall on diversity, equity and inclusion on Thursday, October 28, 2021. Led by board members, a small group has been seeking ways to increase representation of diverse genders and communities of color in USCC and on their board as the industry and nation become more diverse. The Town Hall was held to discuss ideas about what issues hold back more diversity and how USCC can address them within its own ranks and the industry at large. Matt speaks and writes regularly about environmental justice, and its impact on the waste and recycling industry and the regulated community at large.
