Partner Stuart Lederman Appointed to NJ Supreme Court Ad Hoc Committee
Partner Stuart Lederman has been appointed to the New Jersey Supreme Court Ad Hoc Committee on the Uniform Bar Examination. Chaired by Associate Justice Jaynee LaVecchia, the committee will study whether the UBE should replace New Jersey’s existing bar examination, and will evaluate the recent decision by the New York Court of Appeals to implement the UBE next summer. That move will significantly affect applicants for the New Jersey bar examination because about 50% of New Jersey applicants also test in New York.
The committee is holding a public hearing for oral comments on Wednesday, November 18th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick.
Stuart is currently the Statewide Chair for the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Character and Past President of the New Jersey State Bar Foundation.
