On March 29, 2018, Riker Danzig and Sobel & Co. co-sponsored "Transportation Trends in New Jersey," a morning seminar at the Hyatt in Morristown that discussed mergers and acquisitions issues in the transportation industry, and particular challenges facing the transportation industry in New Jersey.
Michele Brown, President and CEO of Choose New Jersey, was the featured speaker, joining panelists Ronald Leibman, Partner, Riker Danzig Transportation Law & Logistics Group; Michael LaForge, CPA, Member of the Firm, Sobel & Co. Manufacturing/Distribution Practice; and Chris Young, PhD., Principal, Sobel & Co. Valuation, Strategy and Litigation Support.
One key theme throughout the discussion was the shortage of truck drivers in the industry and what can be done to attract new drivers.
