In a March 14 New Jersey Law Journal article entitled, “For Law Firms That Lobby, Revenues Remain Robust,” Riker Danzig’s lobbying practice was ranked second in the state based on lobbying revenues.
Partner Mary Kay Roberts, chair of the Firm’s Governmental Affairs Group, leads Riker Danzig’s lobbying efforts on behalf of clients that include Cooper Health System, Pharmaceutical Researchers and Manufacturing Association and Pennwood Racing, Inc.
While revenues for the lobbying industry as a whole decreased from 2009 to 2010, the article notes that lobbying practices at law firms have actually seen revenue increases.
Ms. Roberts credits the additional capabilities and convenience Riker Danzig can offer our lobbying clients as a reason for these revenue increases. “Clients can come to us for litigation, transactions or government affairs and get everything in one stop,” she comments. Ms. Roberts further notes that these capabilities and conveniences provide “a model that clients like.”
