Brenda Liss, a partner in the Firm’s School Law Group, will be speaking on charter school governance and ethics at the New Jersey School Boards Association Charter School Conference on March 22nd in West Windsor, NJ. Brenda will speak at the 11:15 AM panel entitled “What Every Good Board Member Should Know About Charter School Governance And Ethics.” The discussion will provide essential information for charter school trustees and administrators regarding the role of the board of trustees, duties and obligations of board members, the conducting of meetings and school business under the Open Public Meetings Act, the Open Public Records Act, and the School Ethics Act.
