Jeffrey B. Wagenbach and Alexa Richman- La Londe represent Rio Tinto Minerals in the Superfund suit. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and several companies, including Rio Tinto Minerals, urged a New Jersey federal court on Monday to dismiss the suit brought by NL Industries over $79 million in Superfund cleanup costs. Rio Tinto Minerals, along with several other companies, were named in NL Industries’ complaint, alleging improper disposal of waste materials from a lead smelting facility operated by NL Industries.
