Amelia Whiting

Amelia Whiting is an Associate in the Firm’s Environmental Group.  Amelia provides legal counsel on regulatory and transactional matters, with a particular focus on renewable energy.  She is well-versed in energy conservation standards rulemaking, as well as energy efficiency, sustainable transportation, and renewable energy policies.

Prior to joining the Firm, Amelia was an Attorney-Advisor for the U.S. Department of Energy. There, she advised the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy and the Federal Energy Management Program and supported the DOE and DOJ attorneys in defending challenges to DOE rulemakings.  In addition, she provided counsel related to DOE’s technical support of the Department of Treasury’s energy-related tax credits.

Amelia received her J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 2019. She received her B.S. from the Pennsylvania State University in 2016.
