Bryan P. O’Keefe is an Associate in the Firm’s Insurance and Reinsurance Group and focuses his practice on insurance coverage counseling and litigation, as well as insurance defense.
Bryan’s practice involves counseling insurers on a variety of complex coverage issues under primary, excess, and umbrella policies. Bryan also has experience counseling insurers on issues related to multi-district litigation, and handling defense matters involving construction defect and premises liability claims.
Bryan received his J.D., cum laude, from Albany Law School in 2021, where he was an Executive Editor on the Albany Law Review. While in law school, Bryan served as a judicial intern to the Hon. Lawrence E. Kahn in the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. In addition, he interned with the New York State Attorney General’s Office and served as a teaching assistant for Legal Research and Writing and Constitutional Law. Bryan received his B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of Vermont in 2017, where he served as the managing editor of UVM’s student newspaper, The Vermont Cynic.
Prior to joining Riker Danzig, Bryan was an associate at a New York City firm where his practice involved representing businesses, municipalities, construction managers and owners in all aspects of civil litigation with a focus on general liability, labor law and construction matters. He previously served as a law clerk for the judges of the Connecticut Superior Court.
