Cara N. Anan is an Associate in the Firm’s Family Law Group. Cara represents clients in all areas of family law, with particular experience in divorce and domestic violence matters.
She received her law degree from New York Law School in 2020. During law school, Cara was the Co-Coordinator of the Courtroom Advocates Project (“CAP”) at New York Law School. Through this program, she interviewed clients in New York State’s Domestic Violence Courts under the supervision of attorneys from the New York Legal Assistance Group (“NYLAG”). In 2019, Cara served as the Diane Abbey Law Institute for Children and Families Research Fellow. During this fellowship, she worked on the Marriage License Project, assisting clients on marriage fraud cases. She also acted as the court evaluator under Article 81 of New York’s Mental Hygiene Law as part of the Guardianship Clinic.
Cara received her B.A., cum laude, from Drew University in 2017. Following law school, she served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Richard W. English, P.J.F.P., Monmouth County Courthouse. In addition, she interned at the New Jersey Department of Children and Families from 2019 – 2020.
Cara is a member of the Executive Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division, and is currently an adjunct professor at the County College of Morris.
