Diane N. Hickey

Diane N. Hickey is a Partner in the Firm’s Government Affairs and Public Utilities Groups.

Her practice encompasses all aspects of municipal government, public contracting, highway access, and land use law. Diane regularly assists private and public clients in navigating the Open Public Meeting Act, Open Public Records Act, Local Public Contracts Law and the requirements of Title 40 and 40A. She also has considerable experience dealing with local finance and public employment issues.

In addition, Diane’s practice also focuses on land development and redevelopment. She has presented site plan, subdivision, and use variance applications before municipal land use boards throughout the State and has appeared before State administrative agencies to obtain land development and related approvals.  Diane has also handled appeals of land use decisions and represented clients in contested administrative agency action and permitting actions.

Diane earned her law degree from Rutgers Law School – Newark in 2009, where she served as Notes and Comments Editor of the Women’s Rights Law Reporter, was the Faculty and Student Organization Liaison to the Women’s Law Forum and was a member of the International Law Society. She earned her undergraduate degree with highest honors from Rutgers College, Rutgers University in 2006 and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Alpha Theta, and Pi Sigma Alpha, as well as an Eagleton Institute of Politics undergraduate associate.
