Hank J. Scheffler is an Associate in the Firm’s Insurance and Reinsurance Group, where he assists clients with insurance coverage and litigation, as well as insurance defense matters.

Hank received his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2025. While at Seton Hall, he worked his way up to Senior Editor of The Seton Hall Law Review and participated in the Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Board and the First Generation Law Student Association. He received his B.A. from Lafayette College in 2022.

Before joining Riker Danzig, Hank served as a law clerk to The Hon. Lisa Perez Friscia of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division, who chairs the Supreme Court Civil Practice Committee. He also served as a law clerk at two New Jersey-based law firms. In addition, Hank served as a legal extern with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey and as a judicial extern to The Hon. John Michael Vazquez of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Hank is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the Essex County Bar Association.
