Jason D. Navarino is a Partner in the Firm’s Tax and Corporate Groups.
He has considerable experience advising both large and small business clients with respect to structuring and documenting domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures in a tax-efficient and tax-compliant manner. He also helps them form operating and investment partnerships and limited liability companies, in addition to managing other tax and corporate matters. Jason also assists clients with wind-downs and dissolutions. His clients and work are spread across numerous industries, and include insurance companies and agencies, media enterprises, manufacturers, real estate developers, and entrepreneurs in the emerging blockchain and cannabis industries.
Additionally, Jason counsels nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations with respect to tax, corporate, employment, and intellectual property matters.
Jason received his J.D. from Yale Law School in 2007, where he was Senior Editor of the Yale Law Journal and Director of the Community and Economic Development Clinic and its Small Business Legal Services program. He received his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from the School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University in 2004. Jason attained his LL.M. in Tax Law at New York University in 2013.
Jason served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Barry T. Albin, Supreme Court of New Jersey. Prior to joining Riker Danzig, he was an Associate at Debevoise & Plimpton, LLP. He is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York.
