Judge Travis Francis, Of Counsel in the Firm’s ADR, Litigation and Insurance Groups, moderated a New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education seminar on May 25, 2018 entitled “Legal Lessons from the Civil War.” The discussion explored the important legal problems and their solutions during the Civil War era and their relevance in today’s modern world. The seminar also provided an analysis of the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments and the lasting impact those amendments have had on American society.
