Partner Jason Navarino and Counsel Stephen Pagano will be speaking at an upcoming NJICLE seminar entitled, "2015 What Every Attorney Needs To Know About Tax Law." Since tax law issues cross over into many other areas of the law, in order to effectively represent your clients, a basic understanding of these issues is essential. This program will provide you with the knowledge you need to deal with business, sales abuse, estate and gift, and property taxes. The morning seminar is being held on Wednesday, December 16th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Fairfield.
Jason will be addressing income taxation of business entities for C Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, and Limited Liability Companies, as well as the taxation of business transactions, including assets vs. stock deals and NJ bulk sales rules. Steve will cover federal and New Jersey estate, gift and inheritance tax issues.
The seminar will also cover the basics of tax law, including:
- Property taxes and property tax appeals
- The ins and outs of sales taxes and NJ tax registration
- Taxes in litigation including child support and alimony treatment in family law and personal injury/business dispute damages, settlements and attorneys’ fees
This program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 3.9 hours of total CLE credit. For more information on the seminar or to register, click here.
