Riker Danzig is pleased to announce that Stephen P. Tasy has joined the Firm as Counsel in its Insurance and Reinsurance Group.
Steve brings over four decades of legal experience, including 35 years concentrated in the insurance industry. With the perspective of a former senior in-house counsel, Tasy advises clients on insurance coverage and insurance litigation matters.
Prior to joining Riker Danzig, Steve served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of the MSIG North America operations of Japan's MS&AD Insurance Group, with responsibility for legal and corporate governance matters across the United States, Canada, and Latin America.
His in-house career also includes over 12 years with the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, three of them as regional General Counsel for Chubb's Asia-Pacific operations, based in Singapore. Earlier, he spent seven years handling complex insurance and civil rights litigation for the New Jersey Attorney General's Office.
Steve earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and his B.A. in Economics and Government, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University.
