Cannabis Counsel Ryan Magee Speaking at Virtual NJSBA Annual Meeting 2021
Ryan M. Magee, Counsel in the Firm’s Cannabis Law and White Collar Criminal Defense and Investigations Groups, is speaking at the New Jersey State Bar Association Annual Meeting on May 19, 2021. Ryan will be speaking at the panel titled “High Expectations! How Will the Legalization of Marijuana Impact Communities of Color?” from 10:05 – 11:20 AM, co-sponsored by the Minorities in the Profession Section.
Ryan, along with the other distinguished speakers, will address: (1) regulatory and compliance requirements for lawful cannabis businesses; (2) the impact of legalization on minority youth; and (3) perspectives on the consequences of legalization of marijuana versus decriminalization. Ryan’s co-panelists include, among others, Senator Ronald Rice, who cosponsored portions of New Jersey’s cannabis decriminalization legislation, and Dianna Houenou, Chair of New Jersey’s Cannabis Regulatory Commission.
