Riker Danzig is pleased to announce the arrival of its fall associate class: Bethany A. Abele, Eric P. Berg, Scott Carlson, Abigail Bowen, B. (Bobby) O. Brown, Tracey K. McSweeney, and Erin B. Schneiderman.

Bethany A. Abele, of Verona, practices in Riker Danzig's commercial litigation group. She earned her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Lafayette College in 2003 and her law degree, cum laude, from Fordham University School of Law in 2006. While studying at Fordham, Ms. Abele was a staff member of the Fordham Urban Law Journal, president of the Catholic Law Students Association and a member of the Board of Student Advisors.

Eric P. Berg, of Succasunna, practices in the firm's insurance group. He graduated with High Honors, Order of the Coif, from Rutgers University School of Law-Newark in 2006 and earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame in 2000. Mr. Berg served on the pro bono program of the Seton Hall Center for Social Justice.

Abigail Bowen practices in Riker Danzig's New York office. She earned her law degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2006 and her undergraduate degree, with honors, from the University of Michigan in 2002. While pursuing her law degree, Ms. Bowen was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and earned the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. She is a former Judicial Intern for Hon. Joseph M. McLaughlin, U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit. Ms. Bowen also participated in the Innocence Project Seminar, which reexamines cases based on new DNA evidence.

B. (Bobby) O. Brown, of Morris Plains, practices in the firm's real estate group. He earned his law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2006 and his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1999. Mr. Brown is a former sports columnist for the South Bend Tribune and a former co-host of The Coach Show, an Indiana radio program. From 2000-2002, he was a wide receiver for the National Football League team, the Cleveland Browns.

Scott Carlson, of Parsippany, practices in Riker Danzig's governmental affairs group. He earned his undergraduate degree from William Paterson University in 1997 and his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law-Newark in 2006. While pursuing his law degree, Mr. Carlson was an editor of the Rutgers Law Review. From 1998-2005, Mr. Carlson served as Chief of Staff for State Senator John A. Girgenti.

Tracy K. McSweeney, of Sea Girt, practices in Riker Danzig's trusts & estates and tax groups. She earned her law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2006 and her B.S., cum laude, Golden Key Honors Society, from Boston College in 2001. While pursuing her law degree, Ms. McSweeney participated in the Ronald J. Riccio First-Year and the Eugene Gressman Moot Court Competitions. She also was a faculty research assistant and a member of the Student Bar Association.

Erin B. Schneiderman, of Flemington, practices in the firm's family law group. She earned her law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2005 and her undergraduate degree, Phi Eta Sigma, Golden Key National Honor Society, from The Pennsylvania State University in 2001. Ms. Schneiderman is a former law clerk to Hon. Thomas H. Dilts, Somerset County Presiding Judge, Family Division, New Jersey Superior Court. While attending law school, she served as Treasurer of the Trial Bar Team and received the Most Outstanding Advocate in Trial Practice award from the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers. She also served as Community Relations Chair of the Public Interest Law Society and was a member of Phi Alpha Delta, the national law fraternity. Ms. Schneiderman is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.
