School Law Counsel Teresa Moore Speaking at Autism NJ Conference
Riker Danzig Counsel Teresa Moore will be speaking at Autism New Jersey’s 39th Annual Conference on Thursday, October 21, 2021. The virtual conference is for parents, educators, behavior analysts, professionals from a variety of disciplines, students, and anyone interested in learning more about autism. Teresa will be presenting at the 1:00 PM panel, “Basics of Special Education and the Legal Process: A Listening Session for Parents,” along with Jon Gottlieb, Esq., Director of Information Services for Autism New Jersey. They will focus on the basics of laws that are designed to protect the educational rights of children with disabilities, including children with autism, as well as legal procedures that parents and guardians can use when a dispute with a school arises. Teresa’s legal experience representing school districts offers additional perspective when developing strategies to maximize collaboration with schools to obtain the best possible services for the child.
