Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti LLP is pleased to announce that partner Sigrid S. Franzblau has been elected to the Board of NJ Shares.
NJ Shares (New Jersey Statewide Heating Assistance and Referral for Energy Services) is a non-profit organization, established by New Jersey's leading energy companies and non-profit groups, to assist New Jersey residents who have fallen behind on their utility bills due to a temporary financial crisis.
Sigrid S. Franzblau concentrates her law practice in complex commercial litigation, including class actions. She has extensive experience in successfully litigating disputes arising out of franchise and distribution agreements, antitrust claims, claims against officers and directors, partnership disputes, consumer fraud claims, claims arising under the Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act ("RICO"), and breach of contract and fraud claims in an array of industries. In addition, Ms. Franzblau has significant expertise in handling insurance and reinsurance disputes, through the courts and before arbitration panels. She earned her law degree from Rutgers University in 1983 and her undergraduate degree from Barnard College in 1969.
