Allen Scazafabo, Jr., a partner in the Firm’s Family Law Group, was quoted in a February 15, 2018 New Jersey Law Journal article entitled “Revamped Tax Code Creates New Headaches for Matrimonial Lawyers.” The article discusses concerns that the new law will make matrimonial disputes more difficult to resolve, particularly in the area of alimony. Allen comments that alimony has always been a difficult topic, saying, “Clients often come in with their own ideas about how much alimony should be, sometimes based on formulas they find online, but those ideas will be even farther away from reality after the tax code changes take effect.”
