Riker Danzig mourns the loss of our esteemed colleague, Ed Gross, who passed away on June 28, 2011. Ed was a valued member of our Insurance and Reinsurance Practice Group, bringing great insight from his years working in government.
Ed came to Riker Danzig after serving for six years as Executive Director of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority. He began his career with the Authority as Director of Law. He was also a former Deputy Commissioner of Insurance for the State of New Jersey, County Counsel for the County of Middlesex and General Counsel to the New Jersey Republican State Committee.
While at Riker Danzig, Ed handled complex commercial disputes between insurers and reinsurers through arbitration and litigation. A graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology, Ed earned his law degree at Rutgers University School of Law.
Ed will be greatly missed. Our hearts go out to his family and friends.
