Hunt S. Ricker is an associate in the Firm’s Securities Litigation Group. He is a commercial litigator, and has handled a wide variety of business disputes and commercial litigation issues.
Hunt has extensive experience representing broker-dealers and their employees in a broad range of matters, including sales practice arbitrations, employment disputes, subpoenas, and regulatory enforcement defense. Hunt routinely litigates before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) throughout the country and in both the state and federal courts in New Jersey and New York. His practice is focused on defending sales practice claims brought by customers against broker-dealers alleging violations of SEC/FINRA Rules, and claims for unsuitability, churning, unauthorized trading, failure to supervise, failure to follow instructions, fraud and breach of fiduciary duty. Hunt has also recovered millions of dollars for broker-dealers in employment-related matters primarily arising from breaches of employment agreements.
In addition to his securities practice, Hunt routinely handles complex civil, business and commercial disputes ranging from breach of contract to intellectual property disputes. His wide range of experience, coupled with his preparation and attention to detail, allow him to provide sound legal advice in a variety of business and commercial contexts.
Prior to joining Riker Danzig, Hunt was an associate with Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker.
