Riker Danzig Tax and Corporate Partner Jason D. Navarino will be speaking at two seminars at the New Jersey State Bar Association Annual Convention being held in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Jason will be speaking on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at “The Impact of Tax Reform on Business Transactions” starting at 1:00 PM. This seminar will cover several key elements of tax reform and the impact that these changes have had on business transactions, with a focus on choice of entity, mergers and acquisitions, Qualified Opportunity Zone investments, and cross-border activities.
On Friday, May 17, 2019, starting at 11:15 AM, Jason will be speaking at the seminar “What Every Lawyer Needs to Know About Taxes.” Tax law issues cross over into many other areas of the law. In order to effectively represent clients, a basic understanding of these issues is essential. This seminar will provide the knowledge needed to deal with the taxation of business entities (including C corporations, S corporations, partnership and LLCs); sales and use taxes; and tax issues that arise in litigation. Jason will focus on the taxation of business entities segment.
