Riker Danzig Welcomes Three Attorneys to Its Transactional Practices

April 1, 2022

Riker Danzig is pleased to welcome estate planning and corporate/tax attorneys Bruce E. Goldman, Elliot I. Kramer and Amy M. Van Fossen to the Firm.  Bruce and Elliot, both former partners with Goldman & Kramer of Roseland, are joining Riker Danzig as partners, while Amy, formerly an associate with Goldman & Kramer, joins Riker Danzig as an associate.

“We are delighted that Bruce, Elliot and Amy will be joining the Firm,” said Lance J. Kalik, Co-Managing Partner of Riker Danzig.  “They bring a wealth of experience and sophistication to our existing Tax and Trusts & Estates and Corporate practices, and will bolster our capabilities in these areas.  Bruce, Elliot and Amy will fit seamlessly with our transactional team, and will help us to continue to provide our clients with the outstanding counseling and legal services that are our trademark.”

Bruce focuses his practice in the areas of estate planning, transfer and income tax planning and corporate business counseling.  He assists his clients with all estate planning and administration, including multi-generational planning issues and family business succession planning. He also provides counsel in mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, as well as for real estate transactions and contract negotiations.

Elliot adds a strong corporate, tax and estate planning and administration background, with particular expertise in working with closely-held businesses. Elliot brings over 45 years of experience in advising both large and small business owners in a wide range of corporate and business matters including mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate transactions and leasing, secured lending, tax and estate planning and general business matters. He has extensive experience in estate tax reduction strategies.

Amy has considerable experience in sophisticated estate planning and administration.  She is well-versed in employing the full range of estate planning tools, such as wills, revocable trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts, and other vehicles to protect high net worth individuals and multi-generational wealth. Amy also counsels private foundation clients, assisting with tax compliance, operational requirements, and other specific charitable entity concerns.
