Riker Danzig is pleased to announce that Caitlin T. Shadek has joined the Firm’s Litigation Group. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation, spanning the intellectual property, bankruptcy, antitrust, banking and securities areas. Ms. Shadek recently participated in a significant Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding where she co-led a junior litigation team through depositions, expert disclosures and a two-week valuation trial. Ms. Shadek also has experience representing pro bono clients in special education and trademark registration matters.
Ms. Shadek received her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Colgate University in 2005 and her J.D., magna cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2008, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif. Ms. Shadek was also a member of the Seton Hall Law Review, for which she authored, “A First Amendment Breach: The National Security Agency’s Electronic Surveillance Program” (38 Seton Hall L. Rev. 1197 (2008)).
Prior to joining Riker Danzig, Ms. Shadek was associated with the New York office of White & Case LLP. She also served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Jaynee LaVecchia, Supreme Court of New Jersey. Ms. Shadek is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.
