Riker Danzig Corporate and Tax Partner Jason D. Navarino and Environmental Partner Alexa Richman-La Londe will be speaking on Friday, May 17, 2024 at the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Annual Meeting and Convention in Atlantic City. Jason and Alexa will be presenting at the 11:00 AM panel, “Doing Deals in the Garden State,” which will feature corporate, tax, employment, and environmental attorneys from around the state who will share their expertise regarding some of the key NJ legal issues that arise when doing deals. For lawyers engaged in M&A deals, they must not only be in command of all the corporate law nuances that go into a purchase or merger agreement, but also have familiarity with (or access to other lawyers familiar with) the relevant tax, employment, environmental, and other legal issues that frequently arise in these deals. And while many transactions nationwide are governed by Delaware or New York law, deals involving New Jersey-based owners or businesses will inevitably drag in legal issues in each of these areas that are peculiar to the Garden State.
