Following a successful election in November 2023, Bankruptcy Partner Tara J. Schellhorn was sworn in to serve a three-year term on the Chester Township Council during the Township’s January 2, 2024 reorganization meeting. Previously, in 2023, Tara was appointed by the mayor and Council to fill a one-year vacancy on the Council. During 2023, Tara served as Council Liaison to the Shared Court of Chester Township, Mendham Township and Chester Borough; the Environmental Commission; the Parks Committee and the Recreation Committee, all roles in which she will continue. Tara previously served on the Township’s Environmental Commission and is active in the greater Chester community, serving as the treasurer of the Educational Foundation of the Chesters and as a member of the Board of Trustees of The Westmont Montessori School.
