New Jersey Bankers Association Selects Riker Danzig As New General Counsel

TRENTON, NEW JERSEY, April 7, 2003 - The New Jersey Bankers Association (NJBA) has selected Riker, Danzig, Scherer, Hyland & Perretti LLP as its new general counsel. As such, Riker Danzig will be responsible for all lobbying and regulatory work for the Association, as well as providing corporate counseling and litigation services. William G. Connelly, Of Counsel with Riker Danzig, has worked with the NJBA Bank Lawyer's Council for several years. Mary Kay Roberts, head of Riker Danzig's Trenton office, who was formerly Chief of Staff and Legislative Liaison to the New Jersey Department of Banking, will serve as the main contact with NJBA.

NJBA, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, is the advocate of the consensus needs of the banks doing business in New Jersey. The organization issues over a dozen publications of relevance to the banking industry and holds frequent educational seminars for its members.

Riker Danzig has been distinguished for its representation of banks and lending institutions since the founding of the firm in 1882. Among Riker Danzig's banking clients are PNC Bank, Fleet Bank, N.A. and Valley National Bank.
