Partner Jason Navarino to Present on Tax Issues in M&A Transactions

Jason D. Navarino, Chair of the Firm’s Tax and Corporate Groups, will speak alongside Karen Artasanchez of Wilkin & Guttenplan, P.C. at the monthly meeting of the New Jersey Inn of Transactional Counsel on January 14, 2026.

The presentation, titled “Deals and Taxes – An Inseparable Duo,” will focus on tax issues that commonly arise in mergers and acquisitions, with an emphasis on the critical role tax considerations play throughout the lifecycle of a transaction.

During the program, Jason and Karen will discuss:

  • Why tax considerations are central to successful M&A transactions

  • Pre-transaction tax planning strategies

  • Structuring options to achieve tax efficiency

  • Tax considerations in due diligence

  • Key tax-related contractual provisions

  • New Jersey bulk sale filing requirements
