It is with deep sadness we announce that our great friend and former Partner and Of Counsel, William (“Bill”) C. Connelly passed away on Monday, September 2, 2013. Bill was born on January 23, 1931. He passed the Bar in 1956 after his graduation from Fordham Law School, and joined the Firm in July, 1955. Bill became a partner at Riker Danzig on January 1, 1962. He became Of Counsel in January, 1996, and continued to come into the Firm daily until his retirement in July, 2013.
Bill previously served as Managing Partner and was the head of our Banking, Trusts and Estates Practices for decades. Bill will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and dry wit and the pure class with which he conducted himself. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Bill at St. Joseph’s Church, 44 Benvenue Avenue, West Orange, New Jersey, on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Committal will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, New Jersey. The family will receive their friends at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 East Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, New Jersey, on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
