Partner Stuart Lederman was tapped by the New Jersey Law Journal to provide insight on a recent Superior Court of New Jersey decision regarding beach replenishment in the City of Margate on the New Jersey shore. Judge Julio Mendez decided that Margate may have a hearing on whether it must comply with the federal government’s plan on condemning property to build up sand dunes along its beachfront land. Stuart drew on his extensive eminent domain background to provide comment on the case, which it is expected has the attention of other towns in New Jersey where dune litigation is ongoing.
