On December 8, 2021, Riker Danzig's Environmental Group presented a webinar, "Hot Topics in Site Remediation." The Site Remediation Program in New Jersey continues to evolve in many different ways. Anyone engaged with this program has seen unexpected issues and challenges arise on a continuing basis. These changes stem from rule changes, new guidance, and related issues such as considerations arising from the applicability of land use permits relevant to site remediations. In addition, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (“NJDEP) recently issued a variety of notices pertinent to cleanups and their associated submissions.
