On June 22, 2021, Riker Danzig's Environmental Group presented a webinar, "NJDEP Remediation Standards Rule Adoption: Learn How These Changes Will Impact Your Site."
The changes effectuated by this rule are extensive and will impact current as well as closed sites. We now have standards for the migration to groundwater pathway and for indoor air. In addition, there have been changes to existing standards, including over a dozen changes that are now more stringent by more than an order of magnitude. Attorneys from our Environmental Law Practice Group examined the major revisions in the rule and provided insight into how to navigate the changes at New Jersey site remediation projects.
