Affairs Partner Mary Kay Roberts was quoted in an April 15, 2021 New
Jersey Law Journal article about lobbying efforts in 2020 during the
COVID-19 pandemic. “Revenues remained steady compared to prior years, but the
workload increased significantly,” said Mary Kay. She noted that there’s been
an “unprecedented level of government activity through executive orders,
directives and legislation to constantly monitor, review and react to over the
past year.” Mary Kay also commented on the success of meeting virtually during
the pandemic. “In one instance, we had a Zoom call with close to 100 gyms
and the Governor’s Office so that gyms could describe the impact of the
pandemic on the industry as one of the first to close and the last to reopen.”
