Riker Danzig Honored at CIANJ’s Environmental Leadership Champions Awards Breakfast

Riker Danzig was honored with two awards at the NJ Commerce & Industry Association’s inaugural Environmental Leadership Champions Awards Breakfast on April 26, 2019.  One award was based on Insurance Partner Jeffrey M. Beyer’s work with Grow It Green Morristown. Jeff serves on the Board for Grow It Green, and is very involved with its efforts to provide local food access, sustainable farming and gardening, and environmental stewardship and education.  In addition, we received an award in connection with the pro bono work of Environmental Partner Steven T. Senior and Associate Matthew A. Karmel for Planting Seeds of Hope in Newark, a non-profit focused on urban agriculture and food justice.  Steve and Matt have been developing regulatory amendments that would reduce permitting requirements for small-scale composting activities, and are also working with the State on a pilot program to allow expanded composting activities at community gardens.
