Real Estate Chair Quoted re New York Red Bulls Project

May 17, 2022

Real Estate Chair Nicholas Racioppi Jr. was quoted in the Daily Record article “Red Bulls Change Morris Township Training Facility Plan for Former Honeywell Campus” on May 17, 2022.  Nick is leading the Riker Danzig team that is serving as real estate counsel for the New York Red Bulls in its development of an 80-acre complex that will house the front office staff and a state-of-the-art soccer complex.  The site will serve as home to the NY Red Bulls soccer team and reserve squad, as well as the club's soccer academy and youth training facilities.

The article covered a Morris Township planning board meeting on May 16, 2022, at which Nick said of the project, “This will be one of the first of its kind in the United States.”  He added, "I believe this athletic training facility will be a testament not only to Morris Township but also to the surrounding communities, the county, the state and even the country. This will be, if approved, national news."

Nick also said, "Those of you who participate in rezoning heard that this facility will certainly have a much lesser impact on the surrounding area than the 900,000 square feet of permitted office space and the traffic that comes with it,” in reference to the original 2014 rezoning of the property after Honeywell moved its headquarters from the site.
