Riker Danzig Counsel Anne M. Mohan, along with John Macce, Esq. of Macce & Cresti and Lyn Brokaw, Executive Director of the Hunterdon County Bar Association, administrated the 2023-2024 Vincent J. Apruzzese Mock Trial Competition which concluded on January 24, 2024 at the Hunterdon County Historic Courthouse. The competition provides a fictitious case in which the students play the parts of attorneys and witnesses. This year’s case was a criminal case dealing with college admissions fraud. Hunterdon Central High School, North Hunterdon High School, and Voorhees High School each had teams competing this year. Judging the students’ arguments were Judge John J. Burke, III, J.S.C. and Kathleen Cavanaugh, Esq., a trial attorney with Selective Insurance Company. The Hunterdon Central High School team won the competition, advancing to the regional level of the New Jersey State Mock Trial Competition.
Anne currently serves as Co-Chair of the Hunterdon County Bar Association Mock Trial Committee, and previously served as an attorney coach of a local high school Mock Trial Team.
