Professional or Employment-Related Information: current and former employers, job titles, company locations, business contact information, résumé and curriculum vitae information, professional licenses and certifications, professional training and continuing education, areas of legal interest or expertise, professional achievements and publications, speaking engagements and presentations, industry affiliations and memberships, and bar admission information and professional certifications.
Financial and Commercial Information: payment card details processed through third-party processors, bank account information, billing address and payment preferences, transaction history, payment records, and credit information.
Internet or Network Activity: search and browsing history within our website; internet protocol (“IP”) addresses, device information including device identifiers, device type, operating system, and browser type; geolocation data derived from your IP address; cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies data; and other information about your interaction with our websites, applications, or advertisements.

Special Categories of Information: Except for financial information required for payment processing and information relevant to legal representation, we do not intentionally collect sensitive data such as data revealing racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, citizenship or immigration status, precise geolocation data, health or medical information, or biometric or genetic data.

PURPOSES OF PROCESSING PERSONAL INFORMATION
We process Personal Information for business and professional purposes, including the following:
Professional Services and Client Representation: providing professional services, including legal advice, counsel, representation, and advocacy; evaluating matters and prospective matters; conducting legal and factual research and case preparation; managing client relationships and communications; performing conflict-of-interest checks and ethical screenings; communicating with clients, courts, experts and consultants, other parties and counsel, witnesses, and others while handling legal disputes, legal transactions, or other matter; maintaining client files and case records; and facilitating court filings, legal proceedings, and transactions on behalf of our clients.
Business Operations and Administration: processing payments and managing billing operations, transmitting invoices and other information via third-party electronic billing platforms, maintaining accurate business records and accounts, conducting internal audits and compliance reviews, managing vendor relationships and service provider agreements, facilitating business continuity and disaster recovery.
Marketing and Business Development: developing and maintaining relationships with client and prospective clients; providing newsletters, legal alerts, and educational content; producing Firm podcasts; organizing and promoting events, webinars, and seminars; conducting market research and business analysis; creating and distributing thought-leadership content; and evaluating and improving the services that we provide.
Website Operations and Technology Services: operating, maintaining, and improving our websites and online platforms; providing technical support and customer service; analyzing website usage and performance metrics; implementing security measures and fraud prevention; and customizing user experience and content delivery.
Compliance and Legal Obligations: complying with applicable laws, regulations, and court orders; responding to legal process, including subpoenas and discovery requests; conducting anti-money laundering and know-your-customer screenings; maintaining records as required by professional conduct rules; and reporting obligations under state and federal laws.
Security and Risk Management: protecting the security and integrity of our systems and the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information; investigating and preventing fraud, unauthorized access, and security incidents; conducting risk assessments and security audits; implementing access controls and monitoring systems; conducting background checks; and responding to data breaches and security incidents.

DISCLOSURE AND SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Firm Events: We may disclose Personal Information to bar associations, educational or business development vendors, CLE providers, and similar vendors in connection with application for CLE credit and other professional continuing education credit and to entities involved in assisting with events that we host.
With Your Consent: We may disclose Personal Information with your consent or at your direction, including sharing information with third parties you designate, publishing testimonials or recommendations, and participating in joint marketing or educational initiatives.
Emergency Situations: We may disclose Personal Information without consent in emergency situations to protect life, health, or safety, or to prevent harm to individuals or damage to property.

When submitting a request, please provide sufficient information to allow us to verify your identity, the authority of any agent acting on your behalf, locate your Personal Information in our systems, and process your request. We may request additional information to verify your identity and prevent fraudulent requests.
Response Timeline: We will endeavor to respond to your request within forty-five days of receipt. If additional time is needed, we may extend our response period by an additional forty-five days with notice to you of the extension and the reason for it.
Appeal Process: In the event that you are not satisfied with the response to a request relating to your privacy rights, you may submit an appeal by sending an email to privacy@riker.com with “[PRIVACY APPEAL]” in the subject line. We will inform you of any action taken or not taken in response to the appeal, along with a written explanation of the reasons for our decision, within forty-five days of the receipt of your appeal.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Our services are not marketed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13 except as necessary to provide legal services to our clients. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from a child under 13 that is not required for our legal representation, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
