The American Land Title Association published an article on July 29, 2021 by associate Desiree McDonald in its Title News Online publication. The article, "U.S. Appeals Court Says Debtor's Half Ownership Claim Invalid," reviewed a case of great importance to the title insurance industry, in which the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a bankruptcy court’s ruling that said a purchaser established valid title to the parcels and that the debtor half interest claim was invalid.
