Amanda J. Albert joins Riker Danzig’s New York office as an associate in the firm’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Group. Amanda's practice involves the assessment of benefits and executive compensation liability in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, buyouts, financings and offerings. Amanda has represented the interests of prominent domestic and multinational corporations in mergers and acquisitions and counsels clients on sophisticated tax and ERISA issues, including plan asset, tax qualification, prohibited transaction, fiduciary and other legal compliance issues. She has also given presentations for continuing legal education courses on security law disclosure requirements, golden parachutes and ERISA fiduciary duties.
Amanda received her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Drew University and her law degree from Hofstra University School of Law where she was a member of the Hofstra Law Review and the Dean’s List. Prior to joining Riker Danzig, she was an associate in the New York City office of Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP.
