Insurance Litigation

Family Law

Staff

Application Specialist & Technology Trainer

We are seeking a dynamic, tech-savvy Application Specialist & Technology Trainer to help our users adopt technology efficiently and optimize workflows. This hybrid role blends hands-on application support, engaging training, and change management, serving as a key link between IT, end-users, and leadership.

Responsibilities include onboarding, delivering live and recorded training, and promoting adoption of tools such as NetDocuments (or iManage), BigHand, LexisNexis, DocStyles, and Microsoft 365. The role also supports the firm’s Security Awareness Training program through curriculum delivery and user engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

User Training & Enablement
• Lead onboarding sessions for new hires, ensuring a smooth introduction to the firm’s core applications and technology practices.
• Design and deliver training programs, both virtual and in-person, tailored to legal professionals and support staff.
• Create weekly/bi-weekly “Tech Tip” content and short tutorial clips to promote ongoing learning and user engagement.
• Maintain and update a training library including manuals, quick-start guides, and training videos.
• Assist with delivery and content support for the firm’s Security Awareness Training curriculum.

Application Support & Integration/Optimization
• Serve as the go-to subject matter expert for legal technology tools including NetDocuments (or iManage), BigHand, LexisNexis, and advanced Microsoft Office 365 features.
• Support and troubleshoot document management workflows and document templates, including style sheets and macros.
• Collaborate with the Manager of User Support to identify training opportunities and improve workflows that impact user satisfaction and productivity.
• Assist in testing, deployment, and user adoption of new software tools, upgrades, and integrations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with the Director of Technology and User Support Manager to implement and deploy firmwide productivity applications.
• Participate in pilot groups and feedback loops for evaluating new tools or enhancements to existing platforms.
• Analyze training feedback and system usage metrics to refine the training roadmap and promote high adoption rates.

Qualifications & Skills
Required:
• 5+ years of experience in technology training, IT support, or application specialist role within a professional services or legal environment(Law Firm Preferred).
• Experience with a Document Management System (DMS) is required – NetDocuments strongly preferred, iManage acceptable, eDocs a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, Powerpoint), including admin-level experience or advanced user functionality.
• Proficiency in creating training videos using tools such as Camtasia, Snagit, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts in an engaging, user-friendly format that is clear and concise.

Preferred:
• Familiarity with legal tools such as BigHand, DocStyle(Compare, Enterprise. Ribbon), LexisNexis, and template/document automation platforms.
• Experience supporting Security Awareness Training within a corporate or legal setting.
• Experience with enterprises level ticketing systems Connectwise Manage or similar.
• Experience with remote control software such as Connectwise Screenconnect/Automate.
• Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) welcomed and encouraged(training and certification opportunities available).
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Education, Communications, or related field.

Case Manager

Riker Danzig is seeking a Case Manager for its Securities Litigation department. The appropriate candidate will be highly motivated, be able to work independently, and have strong communication, time management, and organizational skills. Responsibilities include document retrieval and review, factual investigation and analysis, application of relevant industry rules and regulations, direct client communication, and production of written evaluative report and recommendation.

Requirements include:

Billing Manager

We are seeking a Billing Manager with 5+ years of experience to oversee the day-to-day operations of our billing department. This role is critical in designing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with firm-wide billing policies and procedures, while continuously identifying opportunities to streamline and improve billing processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and has a solid understanding of law firm billing systems and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily billing operations and ensure all processes are executed efficiently and accurately.
- Supervise and direct a team of billing analysts to ensure timely and accurate invoice generation.
- Manage billing systems, including user setup, security profiles, troubleshooting, and system-related queries.
- Ensure proper month-end and year-end closing processes are completed, including required reporting.
- Upload and maintain billing rates as needed.
- Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and system-related issues.
- Review pre-bills, process billing edits, and prepare final client invoices (electronic and paper formats).
- Administer e-billing platforms and ensure compliance with client-specific billing requirements.
- Set up specialized billing arrangements and audit invoices for accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure all billing is completed within established timelines and firm standards.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to attorneys, billing staff, and legal assistants regarding billing processes
and systems.

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of billing management experience.
- Law firm billing experience is required.
- Experience with SurePoint and Intapp is strongly preferred.
- Strong technical skills with the ability to manage billing software and troubleshoot issues.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Billing Coordinator

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Billing Coordinator to join our billing team. This individual will be responsible for supporting the firm’s billing function, ensuring accurate and timely billing processes, and collaborating closely with attorneys, partners, and legal staff.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2+ years of law firm billing experience
- Previous experience of using SurePoint is preferred
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is helpful
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- College degree required

Key Responsibilities:

- Handle billing for assigned Partner(s)
- Coordinate new matter intake
- Generate and distribute prebills
- Finalize and send invoices to clients
- Submit e-bills and manage electronic billing platforms
- Handle appeals and billing rejections as needed
- Monitor and follow up on invoices with open balances
- Communicate and coordinate with attorneys, partners, and legal support staff
- Perform other administrative or billing-related tasks as assigned
- Hybrid work schedule may be considered
