Law360 interviewed Jeanmarie Dunn-Kane, who joined the Firm’s Corporate and Tax Groups as Counsel, in its May 6, 2024 article, “Riker Danzig Adds McManimon Scotland Corporate Ace in NJ.” The article notes Jeanmarie’s passion for all aspects of corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, and counseling clients on compliance during private offerings. Jeanmarie holds a Master of Laws in taxation, and said that the experience of Riker’s tax attorneys, many of whom also hold a Master of Laws, is what drew her to the Firm. “To be able to provide the tax analysis as well, and to be able to help parties plan for and anticipate what the tax consequences are of their deals, is great,” she told Law360. “In the kinds of transactions that we do, we’re trying to find the common ground between the parties because they want to work together to get to a particular goal. And working with counsel and the parties to find that and then memorialize that is to me really fun.”
Jeanmarie told the reporter, “I’m looking forward to helping grow the practice area here and also be a part of this really great team.”
The article also noted that her career history consisted of public policy before working in law. Prior to joining Riker Danzig, she most recently serving as an associate at McManimon Scotland.
