As the “Litigation Department of the Year” for General Litigation in the New Jersey Law Journal’s 2022 Legal Awards, Riker Danzig was featured in the NJLJ’s September 19, 2022 article “Riker Danzig Prioritizes ‘Ability to Bring Creative Strategies to Litigation.’” The Q&A with Co-Managing Partner Lance J. Kalik noted some of the Firm’s significant successes in both trial and appellate courts in 2021, in which our litigators employed creativity to accomplish our clients’ goals.
Lance addressed the Firm’s use of technology to provide seamless service to our clients during the pandemic, and our continuing commitment to client service. “More than ever, the key to success in this legal market is to be carefully attuned to the needs of the clients we’re serving, and to communicate with them regularly to make sure that our services are closely aligned with the client’s goals. We have always devoted resources necessary to understand our clients’ goals and needs, and that has only increased with shared technology and other changes in the legal marketplace. In short, success requires us to reinforce what we have always done: gain a deep understanding of our clients’ business and problems, and provide unparalleled legal service to achieve our clients’ goals to resolve disputes.”
Lance also touched on the importance of “community” at Riker Danzig, as evidenced by our attorneys’ involvement in the community and public service. He said that we “find that having our attorneys work together on charitable and pro bono work fosters collegiality and teamwork, which helps build the positive culture we enjoy.”
