Riker Danzig’s ongoing representation of the New York Red Bulls was noted in Real Estate New Jersey’s February 7, 2023 story about the team’s world-class new training complex, “Red Bulls, Gensler detail plans for newly approved training campus in Morris Township.” The 80-acre complex will house the front office staff and will be home to the New York Red Bulls soccer team and reserve squad, as well as the club’s soccer academy and youth training facilities, with eight soccer pitches. Construction on the long-awaited project is expected to begin this year.
Our team of Real Estate Chair Nicholas Racioppi, Jr., Partner James M. Maggio, Jr. and Associate Linda M. Herlihy have been providing real estate counsel, with Of Counsel Marilynn R. Greenberg lending environmental expertise, in the fall 2021 acquisition of the former Honeywell site in Morris Township and in the pending acquisition of adjoining land that will be integrated with the larger parcel, along with all aspects of the permitting and approval process.
The articles notes that Gensler has been retained as the lead architect for the project, and will be guiding all architectural and design planning for the facility, focusing “on the performance, health and wellbeing of the athletes, coaches and staff.”
