On December 3, 2020, Riker Danzig's Environmental Group presented a webinar, "Hot Topics: Including Environmental Justice and Climate Change Initiatives."
Implementation of New Jersey’s landmark environmental justice legislation and the targeted regulatory reform effort known as Protecting Against Climate Threats (PACT) will create systemic change for NJDEP and the regulated community. Guest speaker Sean Moriarty, the Chief Advisor for Regulatory Affairs at NJDEP, provided insight on the Department’s activities implementing these climate change and environmental justice initiatives. The Riker Danzig Environmental Group expanded on how these initiatives impact New Jersey businesses and residents and provided some practical advice on how to plan for and successfully navigate these new regulatory programs. Also discussed was other recent developments at NJDEP, including PFAS, Natural Resource Damages and recycling.
