Riker Danzig was proud to again be the title sponsor of the Riker Danzig Newport 10K, held on Saturday, May 3rd at Newport on the Jersey City Hudson River waterfront. This 10K run has grown incredibly in the last few years in both excitement and numbers, attracting more than 1,300 recreational and professional runners this year. The Riker Danzig Newport 10K is the USATF-NJ Men's and Women's Open 10K Championship Race. Called "the fastest course in the tri-state area," the Riker Danzig Newport 10,000 has become one of the elite races of the Northeast, providing a unique urban setting for both recreational and elite professional runners. The course, described as "flat and fast," weaves through Jersey City brownstones and finishes at Newport along the Hudson County Waterfront Walkway with spectacular views of the New York skyline, attracting both American and International runners.
Congratulations to our Team Riker runners, who all contributed to another successful Riker Danzig Newport 10K. We had a beautiful morning for the race this year, with over 80 runners participating on our Riker Danzig team. They joined another 1,300 runners for an exciting morning and a great event to support our client Newport and the Jersey City Medical Center.
The Riker tent was again a fun meeting spot this year for our runners, clients, friends and family members who came to cheer on the team. Thanks to all who came out!!
